New Zealand Glassworks Residency - SEPT 2024

On 23 September we welcome our 2024 Artist in Residence, George Agius. George will be working in our studio for a month developing a new body of work which will feature in an accompanying solo exhibition at NZG commencing in April 2025. George is a glass blower and sculptor with 16 years’ experience working with the material. George’s work explores themes of intimacy and human connection, she states “My aim is to articulate the ineffable and to identify and characterise the transitional spaces that exist between two people”

George will be blowing glass Monday, Tuesday + Thursday throughout her residency, with a public demonstration on Saturday 6 October between 10am-1pm.
