Rebecca returned home in 2011, after spending five years in Sweden. Following her life long dream to blow glass she studied at Wanganui UCOL and in her final year won a glass design scholarship to the University of Kalmar in Southern Sweden. She was based in the heart of the Kingdom of Crystal where they have been blowing glass since long before Captain Cook first landed in New Zealand!
After the scholarship semester she apprenticed at Pukeberg Glasbruk for two years and then undertook post graduate studies at the National Glass School in Orrefors where she taught part time and later took on a full time position. Over the summer holidays she had the privilege of blowing glass in the historic Orrefors
